Sponsored Walk; October 2008
All the children from St John's Mosley Common C. of E. Primary School took part in a sponsored walk around their playground to raise money for a school in Nepal. They raised an amazing £1364.49 which will be used to buy sports equipment. Mr Colligan, a parent of two boys that attend St John's was, at the same time, unicycling over the Himalayas to raise money. Before taking part, the children learned about the project and were able to follow Mr Colligan's progress via a web site. Mr Colligan visited the school to be presented with the cheque and a book has now been compiled which is to be sent to the school they have supported.
